Based on the investigation, a solution or work around for the incident must be developed and tested/validated.

Main Description
After completion of detailed investigation, Incident Resolver must develop a solution in the relevant environment (development or test environment). In some cases, the Change Management process may need to be triggered to develop the solution. The solution developed need not be permanent solution all the times. It can be a workaround through which the system is restored to its original state and business impact is minimized. The workarounds are typically implemented when permanent solution takes time or is not available or may not be feasible financially.

The workaround or solution developed must be tested for success before it is implemented. The proposed solution must also be updated in the Incident Record.
